MONDRIAN

The children of 5^th year, in arts and crafts, are working on a famous painter, Piet Mondrian. This artist was born on 7^th March 1872. He was born in Amersfoort. He died on 1^st February 1944 (he was 71 years old) in New York (USA). This famous painter only painted with primary colors: red, yellow, blue, black and white. He was devoted to geometric abstraction. We have asked a series of questions to children in 5^th year and these are the answers: 

-Did you like doing this activity in art, why?

 Yes, I liked it a lot, because now I know things about this artist.

-What was this project about?

 We created the streets of Barcelona as Mondrian did of New York.

-Do know any curiosities about the painter?

 The paintings are always square and in between there are many lines of the primary colors.

-What material did you need?

 We needed blue, red and yellow cardboards and primary color crayons.
