AFTER SCHOOL ENGLISH LESSONS

Lots of boys and girls of Primary 2 do after school English lessons.

Some of them do it at school at half past one but others go to different centres in our neighbourhood.

These centres are: Master Languages, Big Ben and Kids & Us.

They enjoy doing after school English lessons but sometimes they are bored. They like playing games and drawing but they also learn new vocabulary and they do tests.

“I like so much doing after school English lessons, it’s very enjoyable and we also learn vocabulary” these were the words of a boy of Primary 2.

We think that it’s very important to speak in English better and faster. It’s an investment for the future because by now English is the most important language in the world.

LA HORA DEL PATIO

    Durante estas dos semanas, en el patio de la mañana y del mediodía, hemos estado hablando con los niños y niñas de primero de primaria para que nos explicaran qué hacían a la hora del patio.

    Les preguntamos a qué jugaban, con quién y por qué les gustaba ese juego. Cuando juegan al escondite, al pilla pilla y a la charranca, siempre juegan en grupo, ya que a niños y niñas les gustan estos juegos y se los pasan bien juntos.

   Las niñas nos han contestado que les encanta jugar a  “mamás y papás” ya que se sienten mayores y eso les gusta.

   También les apasiona espiar y dar sustos a los niños porque se divierten viendo sus travesuras. Uno de sus juegos favoritos es hacer ver que tienen poderes mágicos para deshacerse de aquella gente que no les cae bien. A estos juegos las niñas juegan con las mismas personas.

   Los niños nos han explicado que les gusta jugar a convertirse en hombres lobos ya que les hace pensar que son más poderosos. También les encanta jugar a zombis porque piensan que es muy divertido y, cómo no, les gusta mucho el fútbol y el baloncesto.

REUS 2014

Some children from 8 to 12 years old went to the English summer camp in Reus to improve their English skills. Some of these boys and girls were from our school. We asked them some questions:

1.    Did you like Reus? Why?

Yes, it was very funny.

Yes, because we made new friends and I speak better English now.

Yes, because it was a very beautiful experience.

Yes, I liked Reus but I didn’t like one monitor.

Yes, I liked Reus because we had lots of new friends and we did lots of activities.

2.    Did you like the school of the English summer camp?

Yes, a lot

No, because there was no swimming pool.

Yes, it was very big.

No, because there were cockroaches.

Yes, because the school had a football table.

3.    Did you do any trips?

     Yes, we went to Port Aventura and Jungle Treck.

Yes, the trips were very funny, we went to Aquapolis and we visited  Tarraco.

4.    Did you like the food there? Why?

No, because it was no good.

      No, because it was disgusting.

      No, but the cook was very funny and cheerful.

No, because some days we had the same food.

5.    What was your best monitor? Why?

Joe, because she was very funny.

Joe, because she was a good monitor.

Joe, because she spoke English very well.

Will, because he was very funny.

6.    Did you learn a lot of English?

Yes, we learnt a lot.

A little, I was playing all the time.

Yes, I learnt English.

7.    Tell me an activity you did at night and explain it to me.

One night we did the horror night. We did a tunnel of horror.

One night we made costumes and masks. We had dinner with the costumes on and later we did a competition.

Another night we played who is who. It was very funny.

We are sure they all had a fantastic time and they learnt English.

¡UN NUEVO CICLO!

Los alumnos de 5º empiezan el último ciclo de Primaria

Los niños de 5º de primaria han empezado un nuevo ciclo, ciclo superior.

Ahora tienen un nuevo profesor o profesora y nos han comentado que los nombres de los profesores son Lourdes en 5º A, Jose en 5º B y Aco en 5º C.

A los alumnos los han mezclado y por lo tanto tienen nuevos compañeros. Esto es lo que nos han dicho:

“Me están empezando a gustar los nuevos compañeros.”

“No me gustan los nuevos compañeros, prefiero los otros.”

“Es un cambio difícil ya que estaba acostumbrado a los otros compañeros.”

Los niños nos han confesado que, a pesar del cambio de ciclo, no se sienten más responsables.

También les hemos preguntado si tenían nuevas asignaturas, y sus respuestas fueron afirmativas, y esas asignaturas son: Proyecto, Arts and crafts, TAC y taller.

Y esto es todo lo que nos han comentado los niños de 5º.

LA FESTA DE LA MERCÈ

Els alumnes de 4t han celebrat, un any més, la festa de la Mercè del dia 19 al 24 de setembre i hem preguntant als nens d’aquest curs per saber el que han fet.

       La majoria dels alumnes han sortit de casa, han estat amb els amics i la família i s’ho han passat fantàsticament.

       Més de la meitat dels nens de 4t han anat a veure els castellers i  els gegants, altres han vist el piromusical, han anat al teatre o han quedat per dinar amb la família.

    La Mercè és una de les festes més importants  que hi ha a Catalunya, ja que és la patrona de Barcelona juntament amb Santa Eulàlia, la patrona d’hivern.

      I amb la informació que tenim, creiem que els nens que han sortit a la festa són la majoria dels alumnes de 4t .

NEW CLASSMATES

The children of 3^rd of Primary have new classmates.

This year the children of 3^rd grade have changed their groups because the three classes have been mixed.

We asked some boys and girls about this new experience.

-Are you happy with your new class?

Yes, I like my new class and the teacher is very nice.

-Have you got friends from last year in your class?

Yes, some boys but also girls.

-And this year, have you met new students?

Yes, now in the playground we play with other boys and girls.

We are very sure they are going to have a fantastic school year!!

NUEVA MAESTRA DE CASTELLANO

Los alumnos de 2º tienen una nueva profesora.

Esta última semana les hemos preguntado a los niños de 2º información y opiniones sobre la nueva maestra de castellano llamada Eva Petro.

Ellos nos han contado que físicamente es bastante alta y delgada, tiene el pelo rojizo y ojos verdosos.

Hablando de su carácter, muchos piensas que es estricta aunque a la mayoría le gusta las clases que da. Gran parte de los estudiantes piensa que es buena profesora. Algunos alumnos nos hacen saber que la maestra del año anterior también les gustaba.

Nosotros, alumnos de 6ºB, la tenemos en plástica, creemos que es buena profesora pero en esta asignatura sólo la tenemos una hora a la semana.

EL GRAN PAS

Els nens de parvulari fan el primer

salt a la primària.

Aquest any els nens de 1r estan més contents que mai pel gran salt d’infantil a primària. Estan entusiasmats amb el canvi d’etapa.  Hem parlat amb alguns d’ells i ens han donat la seva opinió.

Afirmen que se senten més grans i a la vegada més petits perquè abans eren els més grans de parvulari i ara els més petits de primària. També ens han dit que els va fer molta il·lusió el dia de la graduació  i que els va fer gràcia el barret que els van donar.

Però ens han dit que també estan una mica amoïnats perquè ara tenen més deures, assignatures i els han barrejat.

Alguns ens han dit que no estan amb els seus millors amics, però segur que en faran d’altres!

Les professores són: l’Olga, la Silvia i la Mercedes.

“M’estic intentant acostumar als nous companys“. Deia un nen.
