Black Friday comes during the days following Thanksgiving in the United States (21-28 November). This is because in 1939, retail shops would have liked to had a longer shopping season, but no store wanted to break with the tradition and be the one to start advertising before Thanksgiving. President Franklin D. Roosvelt move the date of Thanksgiving one week earlier. In fact lots of countries celebrate Black Friday cause most shops lower their prices.
