VACCINATIONS

Last Thursday the 22nd October 2015, the children of 6th grade were vaccinated by nurses. Our parents could choose between papilloma (only girls), hepatitis A, chickenpox and meningitis. Due to our nerves we were given a ball to squeeze to calm ourselves whilst a nurse took our arm or gave us a hug. But in any case we were able to see how they injected us. We had to bring to the teachers a paper which said which vaccines we were to receive and if we were not to receive them, then the reason and the details of the vaccine. What are the vaccines?

Papilloma: a vaccine against certain varieties of sexually transmitted diseases.

Hepatitis A: a disease characterized by an inflammation of the liver.

Chickenpox: a disease caused by the varicella-zoster virus, which leaves goo with itch scales.

Meningitis: the vaccine protects against brain disease.

We inform the next batch of vaccinations will be at the end of November.
